Windows Market Place Specific updates

Hi

I have created a full home lab, and as I don't have too many devices, they are restricted by their IP rather than usernames. Everything nearly works great apart from when I tried to download an app from the windows Marketplace on my mobile. My mobile has its own rule that effectively allows access to the WAN, it is restricted the ports required http, https, dns, email and a few others I know it needs.

browsing works great, using the default workplace policy and IP LantoWanvGeneral rules, I use HTTP scanning but had to turn https off due to issues with googlemail (which I believe are similar to these despite installing the device certificate on my phone)

I could browse the marketplace but all downloads sit at pending. I checked a lot of things including using ANY service to the WAN and no policy web policy or IP policy. It still failed to download.

I changed the Web Filter setting to realtime instead of batch for scanning and straight away I could download apps....BUT....the latest Microsoft Update adviser will not download and sits at pending.

I have trawled the logs and cannot see anything being dropped (although head is now spinning from the amount of time I have been looking. The only thing that makes this work currently is to turn http scanning off, which I don't really want to as I would expect it to work and scan.

I use a network rule, based on the zone it comes from, and its IP address, using rewrite source address.

not sure what else I can tell you, but is there anywhere else i can check to see what is being dropped or how to find and remove the relevant site from http scanning..or is my rule wrong?

thanks in advance

Nick
