Port Lists/Ranges

Hi,

Configuring part of our Mitel VOIP platform for the handsets we have as remote workers.

I have a mix of individual ports, and port ranges for UDP traffic, and the same for TCP.

UDP 69, 20001,5004-5007, 6004-6261, 5567, TCP 6800-6802, 3398-3999, 50098-50508, 5566

I know I need to create separate rules for TCP and UDP, but can I merge all the TCP in one, and the UDP in another? Its just how to put them in the port list that I cant fathom out if possible.

Thanks.

  • Richard,

if You are publishing a Web Server, you have to create 2 different Non-Http Business Application Rule while if you need to allow the required ports from LAN to WAN, you can use Service Group.

Hope they will merge Port List into Service Groups.

  • With the list of port numbers, it doesn't appear to allow one to mix single ports and ranges. I don't really want to have 7 rules.

I created a service group, which seems to have taken the relevant port numbers etc

How do you apply that to a business rule though?

EDIT : Sorry, read it in a hurry.

Is it possible though to combine though port list and ranges in the same policy? I have tried in port range having 69,5004-5007,etc or 69,5004:5007, etc but it doesn't want to accept anything?

  • Richard,

unfortunately not. I am sure they will improve this limitation.
