Hi,
how do UTM appliances match to XG appliances when upgraded? Say I upgrade a UTM 115, will I end up having a XG 115? Meaning, is the hardware basically the same?
Thanks

So in other words, by installing XG Firewall onto my SG, I can transform my SG into a much more powerful firewall that has way more throughput than the SG? When comparing datasheets for SG115 and XG115 the XG is way more powerful. So performance enhancements is purely in software, e.g. XG software must be more efficient and faster than UTM...?

Sascha,
as Vilic said, the HW is the same. Only SG model can be upgraded to XG (and other Cyberoam appliances). You have better performance, because XG has built-in new technologies that UTM does not have (FastPath, IPS per rule, etc...).
The downside is that not all the UTM features are already in-place on XG. So pay attention of what are your needs because you upgrade to XG. You can install a 30-days trial version and then decide.
