WPAD Forwarding to XG

Hi everybody

We have  a WPAD DNS in our Active Directory => wpad.ourdomain.local.

How can I make that all requests sent to wpad.ourdomain.local:8080 be redirected to XG internal IP so XG is the default web proxy ?

Please note that I don't want to disable autodiscovery on internet browsers

Thanks in advance for your help

  • Sami,

create a Record "A" that point to XG and a Record CNAME that point to XG Record A. So CNAME is wpad.ourdomain.local and points to XG Record A.

Anyway this is not a XG question. It is more a DNS related one.

  • Luk,

I can't create CNAME for each UTM I've deployed. Fact is that on SG I usually created DNAT forwarding HTTP-Proxy requests to WPAD to SG LAN IP and it's working like a charm
On XG NAT rule NAT policy settings are not so obvious and easy to implement ...well I forwarded all ports to XG Internal and it works ;-)
