Multiple update config buttons

Hi Linus,

As Sachin said they're granular settings and is something also employed in Sophos UTM long since in the Astaro days.

It's actually very useful to prevent a click, click <insert expletive here> when you've misconfigured a section and not realised then committed changes you didn't intend to.

The mindset comes to the foreground of doing configuration in sections rather than sweeping everything in at once :)

You're quite right, this has been a part of astaro and sophos UTM, doesn't mean I think it's good
It can be a real pain in the neck, especially because of this

Last time I checked, (January) some pages proceeded to reload after I presses apply on one section, and hence kicked the changes to the others.
That's what got  me really annoyed, but that could have been fixed ages ago ;)

What you're asking for would be an effective rewrite of how the webadmin GUI functions as when a setting is changed the page needs to refresh the section you're in to reflect this. What you're asking for is that each module then becomes it's own self contained object which pipes to the module which would overcomplicate the process even further and maybe even hamper the performance of an already overburdened GUI.

Someone with more web application skills please feel free to correct me if i'm wrong. This request isn't un-impossible but it's asking a lot when it's not "broken" just user preference.

First of this should be a simple task, who ever said a page has to reload to POST?
That is so not true.

The whole point of RESTfull is to get things done clean and easy, but let's not digress.

All I am saying is, on some pages in the XG it's possible to save each section after another without the XG refreshing everything.
And on other pages, it refreshes everything, clearing my changes.

The problem here seems to be, that different teams made different settings pages ;)
