Plex Media Access

I have a plex media server and cannot access the content outside of my home network.  I have created a security policy in XG Firewall to port forward port 32400, but the connection still fails.  Does anyone have any ideas?  Thanks in advance for the help.

  • Hey gdavis17,

This setup works for me, where Source Zone is WAN connected to the WAN Port and the Protected Zone is LAN with my local Plex Server as the Application Server. Also be sure that your Plex Server is setup in manual mode for 32400. It can behave erratically due to a bug that may still exist. I'm actually glad I saw this thread, as I noticed my Plex UDP was setup using TCP (I'm not sure if UDP is necessary, however, I did it anyway, not that this current policy works...oops).
