VPN Probleme - Traffic im Tunnel bricht ab

Hallo Zusammen,

wir haben seit der Umstellung auf PPTP Fernzugriff über die ASG Probleme mit dem Datentransfer im VPN Tunnel.

Umgebung:
Die ASG wurde so konfiguriert, dass die Authentifizierung über RADIUS behandelt wird. Dies funktioniert auch und die VPN Verbindungen werden erfolgreich mit den Active Directory Accounts hergestellt.

Problem:
Jetzt haben wir aber bei vereinzelten Benutzern extern das Problem, dass der VPN Tunnel aufgebaut wird, ca. 4-20 Pings zum Gateway gehen durch und dann passiert nichts mehr. Die Daten werden nicht mehr durch den Tunnel geleitet.
Die User die das betrifft sind mit eher schlechten Internet Verbindungen aus gestattet (per UMTS oder auf dem Land). Wenn ich die Verbindung von einer recht schnellen Internet Verbindung aufbaue klappt alles wunderbar und hält.

Ich kann mich in der Vergangenheit daran erinnern, dass der GRE Helper öfter mal Probleme gemacht hat. Damals hab ich dies Umgangen in dem ich einen Regel definiert habe, die den GRE Helper ersetzt. Dies konnte ich aber auch nur machen da das VPN Gateway nicht die ASG war.
Aber ein LCP ProtRej lässt mich nicht gerade sicher vermuten, das der GRE Helper nicht funktioniert.

Auf den Clients hatte ich auch schon versucht die Komprimierung oder die LCP Erweiterung zu deaktivieren.

    Ich kann nur bestätigen das ich seit einem Update von 7 auf 8 mit pptp ebenfalls Probleme habe. In der 7er Version konnte ich einen VPN Tunnel mit Quick Link Vpn von Linksys aufbauen un darin mit einer pptp Verbinungen über die Astaro arbeiten. Seit dem Update auf Version 8 klappt das nicht mehr. Die Leitung bricht zusammen. Es scheint bei mir mit den MTU-Werten zusammen zu hängen aber ich habe keine Kombination gefunden mit der ich stabil arbeiten kann.

    Nach dem dieses Projekt so unschön geworden ist, mussten wir wieder einen Routing & RAS Server von MS bereitstellen der bis jetzt gewohnt stabil läuft.

    Ich persönlich kann nicht empfehlen den VPN Zugriff in der jetzigen Version (8.305) auf die Astaro ASG umzukonfigurieren. Nach diesem Projekt kann ich verstehen warum Astaro einen eigenen VPN Client bereitstellt aber das ist für uns keine Option da wir uns den Administrativen aufwand für das Deployment nicht auch noch auf die Schulter legen wollen.

    Fazit:
    if VPN Clients = Windows
      use VPN Server = Windows

    if VPN Client = Linux oder speziell
      use VPN Server = Astaro ASG (Linux)
