Replace XG86 with XG88S

You can use backup and restore.

what does that mean: "IF you perform an Renewal .." Our Licenses are valid until March 10. Do we have to renew the licences BEFORE the Renewal?

If you renew the license NOW, You will get the XGS Firewall NOW and can be used from NOW until the 11. March. Then your 3 year license will be used. 
The early renewal simply give you the XGS Hardware free to use (while basically the XG License is valid) 

I asked our Purchasing Department for "Renewal". They don't know why and told me: "We have the licenses, what shall be renewed?" So, I'm out of luck and don't know what to do..

Try it will save the company some money in the long run.

So, I can't use backup XG86 and restore on XGS88 because the XGS88 has no Wireless. On my 1st attempt to restore the XG86 Backup I got the Message to remove the Wireless from the XG86. I did that, But: I could not delete the localwifi0. On my 2nd attempt I gor the Message that the Hardware wont fit.

which version of software are you using on the XGS88, if v21 you should be able to import a backup from the XG86W.

You could try exporting an XML version and editing the wifi component out, then importing into the XGS.

Does that not work for you? 

Basically you will not have to pay more: You will pay earlier, as you do a early renewal, but the license will still be valid from your original Start Date until your End Date.

yes that worked, but only after Update of the XGS88 to the latest OS.

BTW: the renewal was not necassary since the Purchasing Department has bought the XGS WITH Licemses, they sent me the Licenses now after I complained..

For the Restore of all my XGSs: can I use the same Backup from the XG?
