Except I would like to know then this support will be introduced as these nics have been out forever and linux kernel fully supports now as well.

Currently not planned to include this due the prioritization of other important items.

I can only recommend to use a hypervisor in-between, as they will work without much of a downsize and gives you even the option to host a smaller linux on it in parallel.
