old Queued mail found within Mail-Spool

hello,

I have a really old queued mail found within mail spool.
in this case the email is not (was not) important, but how can that happen?
In the meantime, many new emails have been delivered from the same sender to the same recipient.
I'm asking because a customer had the same problem with "important" emails. Support couldn't/didn't really want to help.
One place to start would be to monitor it. Where could I find information about undelivered emails?

Ideas, hints ...?

    Hello,

    maybe this is HA related?!? As far as we know now: Each HA-device have their own quarantine (and maybe also spooler) and there is NO sync between the devices in case of HA and fallback - so you should always use a prefered master (of course an unsync state would still be possible for a few mails...). Crazy but it´s not a bug...

    Hi,
    i think it is not an HA problem.
    Yes, HA is configured, but active is one node all the time. Second node is powered off mostly (lab environment)
    old Mail wads found at the "mostly active" node.

    And ... i know the problems with separated mail-handling at the nodes.
    It is a theme with every update.
