XG210 upgrade to XGS2100 in HA active-passive configuration

I have a current setup with a pair of XG210 in HA Active-Passive mode and am preparing to upgrade them to XGS2100 in the same HA configuration.  I have a configuration backup from the active XG210 and have attempted to restore it to the new XGS2100 but it states that if I continue the new unit will not be in HA mode.  I just want to make sure this process goes as smoothly as possible as we are in our busy season and cannot afford to be down for an extended amount of time.  I fully plan to do the actual migration of devices after hours but even still I would like to keep things as smooth as possible.

  • it's no problem to do that. Follow the links already posted. Be sure, to bring both devices to the latest Firmware and restore from latest version XG to same version on XGS. You need to adjust some Interfaces but you can prepare the XGS machine while disconnected from the network and when ready simply plug the cables from one to the other. You only restore the primary node. HA needs to be rebuild on XGS after the first node runs.
