Sophos Connect Windows on ARM CPU support

Testing Microsoft Copilot+ Windows 11 laptops based on Qualcomm Snapdragon ARM CPU - Lenovo ThinkPad T14s G6 snapdragon in my case.  I have seen old forums mention that ARM support was in the backlog for Sophos Connect.  I suspect this question will come up a bit more in the near future with this new architecture so would suggest Sophos revisits this topic.

I'll be looking at work-around solutions, but haven't started on that yet.  If anyone has suggestions let me know.  I'll post back here with what I find that works.

Using Sophos Connect SSL VPN to connect to XGS 2100 running v20.0.1.

  • You could easily use OpenVPN Community Client for ARM: openvpn.net/.../
    J
ust import .ovpn-File and you're good to go. Of course no direct Config-Connection like with Sophos Connect, but usable without problems like on Android/iOS.

  • Thanks for the suggestion.  This approach of using OpenVPN Community Client with the .ovpn file worked fine.

I like the Sophos Connect client better as we can configure to save username/password and have a separate field for the OTP.  Easier than combining password + OTP in the same field, but not the end of the world as this is only impacting a few users at this time.
