SSL VPN Disconnection

Hi,

in my company users are using Sophos SSL VPN. The Sophos Connect is updated to version 2.3.0506 and the type of VPN is SSL/TCP.

All users report frequent disconnections when using VPN, and there was the problem also with older client versions and SSL/UDP.

Obviously, also the type of internet connections of the users is different; some of them use tethering connection from smartphone, others use fiber connection from home, etc.bec

In reality, the VPN connection seems to be active (there is the green circle icon into the Sophos VPN client) but all the resources become unreacheble.

The only way to restore the communication between client and resources is to force disconnection from VPN client, and connect again.

Another thing to take in consideration is that when this happens, users are working actively on client (they are not idle).

The problem is really impactful because users need to disconnect and riconnect several times.

Any ideas ?

Thanky you.

  • Hello Marco,
I have observed such problems while using UDP.
    But not with all users.
Switching to TCP may help, but you have to renew (or change) all VPN connections
