Webfilter Exceptions and Policies

Question

Hello community, 
 while migrating a Sophos SG to Sophos XGS, I was wondering wheter it is possible to add the defined web exceptions to a web filter policy? 
 So that the exceptions only count for firewall rules with the appropriate web filter policy applied.

Hi Luis, 
 the following are my working policy on blocking, though you will see on the various screenshots where you can use allow instead. 
 The first step is to create a user activity.

After you save the new activity, you need to create a category. 
 
 warning - add the URLs before the keywords. 
 
 The new category is added to your selected web policy. 
 
 I hope the above details enable you to build your own web policies. Some of my entries do not work because the urls are embedded in allowed sites. 
 Finally there are KBAs on similar subjects.

Hi, 
 you can&rsquo;t do that with the general exceptions, you need to build specific policies and apply them to the rules.
