How to open to internet for airgap sophos xg firewall>

I like to open the internet access on the firewall.

My Firewall is set up as airgap device. One laptop is connected to it to access the web console of the firewall. That laptop can access to the internet.

Could you advice me how can I configured my firewall to get access to internet? Thanks.

If you want to keep it airgapped, you need to download firmware updates manually, if that is your question.

If you want the firewall to be able to reach the internet through the management laptop you should connect your firewall to this laptop as tough it was a WAN-connection.

Your laptop would need to be configured to IP-forward packets coming from the firewall to the internet and it would likely need to have 2 interfaces; one going to the firewall and the other out to the internet.

If this is not what you intent, then please provide us with a network diagram as requested also by rfcat_vk

Also, an air gap XG will fail after a month of no connection to the licensing server.

You can apply for a special airgapped license, which does not need to contact Sophos license services on a regular basis.

Hi Philip, Thank you so much for your advice. I have resolved my problem to upload the license. I raised requested to sophos for airgap license.
