Too many failed sign-in attempts - what is happening!?

Hi all,

I've been receiving this alert for a while now, let's say at least 2 years!!!, at varying frequencies. sometimes several times a day, sometimes a few times a month. when I check the hosts, I don't find anything in particular, sometimes it even comes from a host of a colleague in the same management, but he is completely unaware of what it is.
how does this happen, what is the possible cause?

Check the Authentication Log at this time, if you see something. If not, check the /log/access_server.log at that time on the CLI.

Maybe you have a software trying to login.

Does this client have the Authentication Agent installed by Sophos? support.sophos.com/.../KB-000038465
