What are the differences between the XG 125 revs (rev 1,2,3)? Would the rev 1 processing power be sufficient for a home network?

Really depends on number of rules and devices attached. I am not sure how much memory a rev 1 has?
Reviewing rev 2 it should have sufficient memory, but processing might be an issue.

My xg115w rev 3 uses a c3508 CPU (6 years old), 4 core, 1.6ghxz maximum. Looks like most of the 1xx series use atom processors and differentiate by the number of ports they support. 115 4 ports, 125 8 ports.

Also how useful it is will depend on your internet connection speed. Most of those devices will struggle to connect at 500-600 mbs.
