Video conferencing in web browser

Hello everyone,

we have been having problems with video conferencing via browser for some time now. We are using a XG 230 in webproxy mode with HTTPS decryption, IPS and ATP activated. The clients are configured with a standard / manual proxy. Everything works fine if we connect to meetings by using the applications of the vendors.

Also we checked all the URL´s and created exceptions for https decryption.

Webex, for example:

  • ^([A-Za-z0-9.-]*\.)?webexapis\.com/
  • ^([A-Za-z0-9.-]*\.)?slido\.com/

Even if I put my test device in a ANY ANY rule, it doesn´t work. In a webex test meeting the video connection starts and stops all the time and on top of the browser the following message appears: "You can only see the active speaker's video due to network or firewall settings"

My thought now is, that a lot of video conferencing systems dont like using a proxy server. Does anyone encounter the same issues?
