  • Hi,

you can block it by creating FQDNs for chatgpt.net and chatgbt.net, then create firewall at the top of your list with the two FQDNs as destinations and set the rule to drop.

If you have a problem with the settings I will post a copy of my test settings.

  • Hi,

I created the rule as mentioned, but the blocking was not entirely correct.

Can you show me the rule you created?

And why .net? Does it block all DNS described as chatgpt?

  • Hi,

I can't access chatgpt, the page does not open with my rules.and further investigation shows you need to add this https://chat.openai.com/ to the block list.

    Update.

I have created a FQDN group for the *.chatgpt.net, chatgpt.net, chatgbt.net and added chat.openai.com. The group was added to an existing firewall rule to block a range of sites.

IIf you are using IPv6 you will need to add a drop/reject rule for this IPv6 address 2606:4700::6812:3a1

You will need to search logviewer for sites that installing chatgpt in their own servers eg microsoft.
