pc traceroute not showing default gateway

Sorry, I don’t understand how they can be on the same physical LAN, they might connect through a switch with routing configured.

What are you trying to achieve with this network setup because I don't understand why you have two LAN interfaces on the same subnet (255.255.0.0).

What I suspect is happening is that the XG is receiving the ping on LAN 4 but when it replies it knows it has two routes to the workstation, through LAN1 and LAN4 and chooses the first one. So the replies come from LAN1 and that is why the traceroute shows the LAN1 IP.

I can't imagine why you would set things up this way, hence the question, what are you trying to achieve by having two LAN interfaces in the same subnet? I can't imagine any scenario where you would do this!
