Prevent internet traffic to be routed through remote access vpn

Question

Hi, 
 When my users connect throught remote access vpn, either Sophos Connect Client or SSL VPN, their lose their internect connectivity, as a workaround I've created a firewall rule to allow traffic originating from VPN to WAN, but is it possible to prevent that happening?

 for the SSL VPN, make sure to not enable "use as default gateway" when you create the SSL VPN remote access profile. 
 For the Sophos Client, disable the "tunnel all".

Make sure to download the SSL VPN configuration again from the user portal. 
 If users are not using the Sophos SSL VPN, check the ssl vpn client configuration. For example, on tunnelblick, you need to disable the route all traffic through the vpn tunnel checkbox.
