SSL VPN - RDP Only Setup

Hi All,

Looking to setup SSL VPN with RDP access only to remote workstations. Is that possible? I'd like to setup a work-from-home solution in which my users can login to the User Portal, download the VPN client, and RDP into their workstations in their office. I'm finding in the SSL VPN settings that I cannot restrict the ports that are accessible. Anyone have ideas how to make this work?

you can restrict which protocols remote users can use inside the VPN to LAN firewall rule.

I tried that! I setup a local user on the firewall and created a firewall rule only allowing TCP/UDP 3389 in. I am still able to access the files and folders in network shares.

Here is the rule I made. Using the rule alone still gives too much access. I want RDP only:

Can you share the rdp service details?

Make sure the rule is at the top of the firewall rule list.

Luk - you are absolutely right. I worked with Sophos Support and discovered another rule that was allowing other ports while on the SSL VPN. Your idea worked just fine! Thank you.
