I have the right DNS server setting (I tested it). The First NIC is on a static IP. Do i need to change the First NIC to WAN in order to get Internet access? Please advise.

Sophos XG has no Internet in Discover Mode

Hi everyone,

Here's my Sophos XG setup:

Deployment: Hyper-V

Mode: Discover (https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/122971)

vCPU: 4

RAM: 6GB

Storage: 100GB

vNICs: Two

First NIC: Management interface/LAN
Second NIC: Discover

However, the device has no Internet access. I have the right DNS server setting (I tested it). The First NIC is on a static IP. Do i need to change the First NIC to WAN in order to get Internet access?

Please advise.

Try to ping www.google.com from XG console or from UI and see if you can resolve it correctly.
