time session limit

Hi peeps,

New to the forum and the XG (inherited).

We are battling an issue whereby mobile users sporadically get their Outlook for IOS app receiving a 'Blocked' notification. The device itself becomes blocked with Exchange (2013 on prem).

This issue only became prevalent after out migration from our TMG (thats right) solution.

MS has indicated that its best to have a 30 minute session limit on the EAS rule. I have confirmed that this was implemented on our TMG.

How do I do this on the XG ? All past articles/blogs shed no light other than a need for this but nothing more recent than in last ~ 2years.

help?

thanks!

  • Hi,

what version of IoS are you running? Do your IoS devices authenticate to your AD? Assuming the devices are connecting through a WIFI, what type of AP and what bands?

  • Hi,

what I have found with my iPhones since 13.3 and later were released is that the wifi appears to shutdown whereas previously it went into low power mode but kept a session open.

My iPad does the same to some degree but not as often as the iPhones.

I have also found when out wandering my iPhones also disconnect especially from mail.
