Skype for business mobile app

Has anyone had any luck getting the skype for business mobile app working through the XG firewall? We have the desktop client working fine, but the mobile app will not connect. Support has no current solution (WAF or DNAT rules not working) This previously worked on our old Microsoft TMG firewall. Thanks.

Apologies for the inconvenience caused. Have you tried to find out if the Skype for business mobile application is trying to connect to the domains that are not bypassed from web proxy on the firewall? There is a link on this KB Article for Microsoft Products and there is a specific section for Skype: Sophos XG Firewall: How to allow Skype for Business through the firewall.

If you bypass source device from the web proxy, does Skype for business mobile application works? Follow this KB Article on how to bypass source device from web proxy: Sophos XG Firewall: How to bypass the web proxy in Transparent Mode.

We actually host skype for business internally, so it's not going through O365 at all. We did make a rule to try to allow 1 test device to access the server hosting skype for business, but that did not work either. Thanks.
