Hotspot Sessions

Is there a simple way to allow clients to connect for a period of time (e.g. 2 hours free) then block them for another period (e.g. 2 hours rest) and cycle this?

There is only a session expiration time under the "terms of use acceptance"

  • Hi,

please tell us more about your client identification processes eg clientless, through an AD or just guests with random IDs?

  • No ID process. Just plain hotspot with “Terms of Acceptance”. When the session expires, it shows the terms again and it when accepted works for two more hours. Therefore, you could get access for 24 hours with just 12 clicks. I am guessing the way to do this has something to do with DHCP and MAC Addresses.

I know you can partially achieve this with vouchers (Hotspot) or SMS Auth (Captive Portal). Sadly, I cannot use this features in my environment.

Vouchers are not automated, no SMS gateway.
