DNS Record caching

Does the XG firewall cache DNS information when a user visits a web site? Our employees change the IP address of a DNS entry that located on a AWS account. After changing the IP address of a DNS name it takes close to 10 minutes for our systems to receive this update. Is there a way to speed this up? If the user changes the dns in the network adapter to 8.8.8.8 so it goes directly to the dns server it alot faster.

    Hi BrianTesoroni,

XG firewall only cache the DNS entry based on the TTL so it depends on the domain that you are trying to resolve. Can you please check what is the TTL value for that target domain?

    Thanks,
