How to block Facebook and allow only Messenger?

I suggest you open log viewer in web and try too connect because you will be missing some other pages which will require an exception.

no you don't need another firewall rule, but you need to add them to your application filter on the firewall rule you are using to provide access.

seems that it is missing styles so I guess the stylesheets (CSS) are loaded from the facebook website. Look into the source of the messenger website and try to locate from where css is loaded.
