Why waste time coding, just offer Cyberoam and be done with it. You own it.

  • Being a Cyberoam transplant I can say a good majority of the functionality was ported over into XG. A few things are new like Hotspot, ATP, Heartbeat, etc. The UI is a disappointment, very kludgy having to remember where things are. You can see in the demo URL once you click into subsection that section stays open until you move out. Other things like rules that remember filters, no scroll bars, and variable widths where you can re-size your browser are sorely missed. Sophos could have kept the code-base separate but that probably wouldn't be very cost efficient. I just wish they offered two additional UI themes out of the gate: UTM9-XG and Cyberoam-XG where legacy users could be familiar with the old and learn the new at a better pace.
