Streaming services blocked

Streaming services such as Netflix and HBO Now are blocked when accessed by apple tv or iOS app. Both Netflix and HBO Now work when access via web browser. Any ideas?

I have only one firewall policy in effect which permits all LAN -> WAN traffic. I have enabled logging on this policy but nothing is showing as blocked. All three types of scanning (ScanFTP, ScanHTTP, Decrypt & Scan HTTPS) on this policy have been disabled. The Web Filter and Application Control settings are set to Allow All.

Thanks.

  • I have the same issue but not with Netflix. I have setup webfilter for my kids, but it effectively kills their games from updating.

Anyone can give an advice how to debug those issues? LogViewer seems to be ineffective and later then Reports show "Blocked Domains". How to check which domain was blocked on which rule ?

  • On top of Netflix not working I also have your problem with some updates such as Windows trying to download new Windows Insider builds, It crashes unless I bypass the device. This is a real pain in the but, I just cant seem to get some things working unless you totally bypass HTTP and HTTPS scanning and disable the web filter. Like you I go into the reports to try and see whats blocked and nothing shows blocked, How on earth are we supposed to fix things and nothing useful shows up in the reports?
