Clienteles Users Setup

With XG in a home environment with humans using multiple devices (desktop, laptop, phone, and/or tablet) I do not see a way of mapping a user to multiple devices. The only solution I can think of as a work around is when I add users to the firewall is to add their MAC addresses to the user..

Is this correct or am I missing something?

TIA

  • Yes and you need to authenticate to XG firewall only using the authentication client, because only the Authentication client installed on Desktop/laptop/phone/tablet can validate the MAC address of the device with the user that is connecting.
  • OK, Looks like I missed the announcement of the supporting software for IOS devices. Is there a post or website listing what network authentication agents have been released with the announcement of XG?

My home network has a mixed bag of operating systems across mobile, desktop, and laptops so knowing what tools I have available will help me and others with what kind of policy(s) choices we have before going down a rabbit hole that will not work or is not supported.
