Switch failed to get a new IP

Changed IP of switch's upstream port on firewall, and now switch cannot get a new IP.

Interestingly, APs get new IPs as expected.

All devices connected to the switch still have Internet. For those connected to untagged vlan 1, they get new IPs too.

Scanned the network (using Advanced IP Scanner), found APs, other devices, but not the switch.

In Sophos Central, the switch shows offline. Removed & re-added --- timeout, cannot add.

May need to power cycle the switch. If so, then it will be an issue when a client doesn't have a network PDU.

UPDATE:

Reboot switch and it got a correct IP.

I can replicate the error: modified the interface's IP, and the switch failed to get correct IP again.
