IIS in Server 2012 problem

I am trying to install the new 3.5 and when it performs the preinstallation checks it shows that IIS is not enabled, but it is completely installed and running. I can't figure out for the life of me why it will not see iis in the prequalifications. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Hello 402vette,

I don't have SMC so I can't say what the property checker displays - but judging from threads like System property check and System Property Checks fails the wording is apparently somewhat unfortunate. I assume it's trying to tell you [the requirement that] The IIS is not enabled on this computer [is not met and therefore] failed. In other (and hopefully more understandable) words - the checker found that IIS is enabled but according to the Installation prerequisites form, section 2.5, it is required that No IIS installed and no other application using ports 80, 443.
