Debugging iOS-MDM from the client side

Hi,

I am currently evaluating SMC. The console gives sufficient information about the server-side and it's communication with APNS. In some cases it is interesting to see the client-side activity as well. Although you will probably never see a console-view on an iPhone, it is still there and often quite helpful.

The console can be observed from Apple's "iPhone configuration utility" (ICU). Just attach the device, click the device in the left-hand pane of ICU and select the "Console". It is even possible to save console logs to the desktop for debugging purposes.

The console shows MDM-activity as well as important events inside the device, like locking the screen, connection attempts to wifi-networks et al.

Best regards,

Detlev
