Increase screen time lockout

Hi All,

The screen time lockout seems to be maximum of 120 seconds which is fine for the smartphiones profile. However, it is not quite long enough for the Tablets profiles as users working in the field will need this to be min of 4 minutes as it can take this lenght of time to travel between sites. I don't seem to be able to increase this to 240 seconds?

This means that having a password policy with a min of 8 alpha numeric characters will on average have the user putting in the passsword too frequently therefore wasting time which will add up over a month.

Any way to modify this in a config file?

    Hi Ant1,

    as of now it is true that the timeout via profile can only be configured as a maximum of 120 seconds.

    It is planned to change this with the upcoming release and the available times will be the same as for the iOS profile.


    For your scenario, you could still provide a command bundle which configures the "androidSetPasswordProtection" command.

    There you can manually define the amount of minutes until the screen will be locked (aeFrequencyValue).
