Mobile Protection

I am looking for some input on Sophos Mobile

I have a 12 and 10 y/o who now have iPads for school, we bought them not the school.

I’d Sophos Mobile a good solution for apps, and other items. Kids click on ***, school uses open DNS for filtering while thy are there. I am looking for a solution while they are not at home or school to protect and do some web/url/category filtering.

I have screen time setup in IOS, and I have to do all app purchases.

Will mobile protection do this?

    Hi rudra00,

    Thanks for reaching out to the Sophos Community Forum. 

    Sophos Mobile can be used to facilitate web filtering. In order to do this, you would need to set up the iPad devices in "Supervised Mode".

    You will also need either a Central Mobile Advanced license, or Intercept X Mobile license. In the following document you can see "Web filtering from unwanted categories" checked under these licenses.

    Depending on the scope of devices you are looking to administer, there are also options within Screen Time to specify web content restrictions as well. 
    - Prevent Web Content

    Similar restrictions can be applied to your devices during the manual process to activate Supervised Mode. The benefit of SMC is that you can control these options from the Web interface, as opposed to manual interactions with the device during setup, or through parental controls.
