What causes Trigger Installation to appear as a warning?

Hi there,

I've recently started to use the Intercept X on my mobile device. I've also been been doing some android development on the side as a hobby and noticed Intercept X gave me a "Trigger Installation" warning for my app. What exactly does this "Trigger Installation" mean? Brief description tells me "This app can ask Android to install another app". But no where in my code am I telling my app to install anything else. (I've even commented out all the code that I think can do something like that.)

Could there be false positives in Intercept X? Or perhaps there is code that unintentionally doing it somehow. Either way, are there more detailed explanations somewhere that explains the cause or detection method that results in "Trigger Installation" being shown as a warning for my app? Thank you very much.

  • Trigger warnings are warnings that a work contains writing, images, or concepts that may be My Lowes Life distressing to some people. The term and concept originated at feminist websites that were discussing violence against women, and then spread to other areas, such as print media and university courses.
