Removing maleware from enffected computers

Dear All,

 

we are using Sophos Endpoint protection advanced in our network.

however recently we found that few computers were infected with malware/virus due to which computers performance was slow.

also few computers were sending thousands of spam emails.

our Sophos endpoint protection advanced did not detect the reason of spamming and slow performance therefore i downloaded malware bytes and run on the infected computers.

after which my problem was solved.

i  checked with Sophos technical team and send few samples to Sophos lab and they informed me that it was not malware or infected file.

i would like to know what is the best solution to protect our computers under above situation.

    Could I have some more information please, do you have a Support case number that i can use to look at the samples you sent us?

    When you installed MalwareBytes did it detect anything? if so are these the files you sent us?

    Can you also confirm if you are using our Sophos Enterprise Console product of Sophos Central?

    Also do you have an email scanning product and is it set to scan for outbound spam, instead of just inbound?

    but in few other machines which were not spamming, i found two or three malwares which as per sophos is not malware.

    so i have to wait until i find some machine that is spamming so that i can send the sample file to you.
