DivXInstaller .dmg

My first scan found a PUA and, after clicking clean button, is now stuck on "Removing the potentially unwanted application ...Downloaded software/DivX/DivXInstaller.dmg."

The screen just has a revolving orange cog wheel but has not changed in around 15 minutes.

Any advice please?

Many thanks Peter

As far as I can see DivX is actually a media player/video converter from DivX.com that I downloaded 2 years ago although I don't use it now and do not have it installed.  The dmg is however still on my system.  Perhaps I am worrying about nothing!

Yes, DivX is an innocuous (non-thretening) media format like .avi or .MP4 .  This is in the "Downloaded software: folder in (you deleted the previous information that would have said where). Im guessing this is Google Chrome?  Find the "Download software" folder, delete the entire DivX folder or .dmg file inside it, and rescan.
