Remove corrupted files

corrupt is in most cases not a sign of malware. While scanning a file the scanner encountered an internal structure it didn't expect. I assume you didn't post the complete message, does the path end with .gz? Then it's likely performance and other system data. When these data are collected they are, like e.g. the system logs, compressed on the fly and the overhead for "finalizing" the archive is avoided and thus it appears corrupt.

Just ignore the message. And as PeterM I don't think it's related to the email you received. BTW - you could check at have i been pwned whether your password might have been exposed in a data breach.

Thanks Christian, looks like it has but thankfully I don't use that password anymore.

if so they are a scam.
