Advisory: Google service interruption could affect Sophos product mail delivery
We have seen an increase in call volume due to an issue with Google's mail service. It appears at this time that random emails to Google's mail service are getting bounce back messages and failing to send. Google appears to be aware of this issue and more information can be found here www.google.com/appsstatus
Applies to the following Sophos product(s) and version(s)
Any Sophos product or service which delivers email to Gmail. These can range from Sophos Central email, XG, UTM, PMX and Email appliance. This could also affect our ability to email customers if their email is hosted by google.
Impact
Any email going to a Gmail email account may get rejected by Gmail's mail server.
Current status
Gmail appears aware of the issue and are investigating.
