Please can you add Sub-Addressing to Sophos Email?

Microsoft have announced that Exchange Sub-Addressing will be coming shortly.

As I understand this, it is the ability to have additional addresses for filtering of emails.

So, if you had fred@sophos.com, Fred might want to have fred+marketing@sophos.com, fred+hr@sophos.com etc etc.

Thank you for reading and considering this.

Advised by Sophos Support that "this is not a feature that the product supports at this time" and to raise it as a feature request.

Actually this should be possible.

How to you sync your Users to Central? Because we can add alias addresses to the user. And as i understand your request, this is a basic alias address.

Hi there. It is currently performed manually as there are so few addresses. There is no AD involved.

So is there a video to watch and/or a set of instructions as to how to do this?

If you click on a user or a Mailbox in central, can you see the option to add alias addresses? Should be on the mailbox level.

Got it. Put the alias, now have to monitor for junk coming through.

When we look at the quarantine log, does it differentiate between the primary email address and junk sent to an alias?

Everything sent to the alias will be covered by the digest of the primary account.
