"Allow Sender" banner does not work for distribution list

Hello,

I'm testing the Sophos Central Email Advanced product in order to protect my users. We are on Office365 and I have a weird problem. I added the users and aliases with the AD SYNC sophos tool without any issue, and I added a distribution list manually with all of its aliases:

When a user receives an email with the banner to allow or block the sender the link works, but when a user receives an email sent to a distribution list with the same banner, the link to allow or block the sender returns a HTTP 404 ERROR as shown in the screenshots below :

Thank you for your help.

Regards

  • i have had a remote session with second line support and they have take lots of screen shots and now have an idea of what the issue is.

I had an idea that the link goes to 404 because it has no mailbox to associate the allow or block request to map to.

They are looking at this as the only solution i have found is to use Shared Mailboxes but Sophos charge for a license per mailbox.

  • Does a public folder work?

If you create a test email as public folder and try the Allow Sender?

I am guessing, it could be related to the user context.
