Email Content Control EAP - Email does not get delivered while "Attachment file types" feature is enabled.

While the "attachment file types" feature is enabled and set to Quarantine using the "Sophos List" no emails from Gmail, Outlook and probably others are delivered.

If I toggle this feature off, emails are delivered. The emails never show in quarantine and the sender does not receive a notification. End user will never be aware there is a email stuck in the system.

  • Support was able to resolve the GMAIL/Outlook delivery issue with this feature turned on which is great news.

However, currently if I leave this on I get a ton legit emails sent to quarantine with the following:

    Script/Markup

Without the ability to remove this from the "Sophos List" I have been forced to disable this feature again. Please let me know if there is a way to adjust the list of blocked file types.

    Thanks!

  • +1 for this. I wasnt aware of the issue and just identified 98 legitimate emails over the past 30 days with attachments being held up because of 'Script/Markup'.
