Firewall Management - Group Configuration not matching current SFOS Settings

Hey,

trying to configure the groups in firewall management for an easier management for our Sophos XGS Firewalls. While doing the initial setup, there are a lot of entries which are either on the wrong place or in wrong order compared to the current SFOS 20.0.2 MR-2-Build378. This is very frustrating because you have to double check everything.

Best example -> Device Access -> Local service ACL:

Some more examples:

Authentication -> Services - The order of the methods doesnt match either. Hence you have to check, line by line if you are really configuring the same setting.

System services -> Notification list - has some different/old wordings

Sandstorm Settings are in Active Threat response menu and not in Zero-day protection like on SFOS

etc. etc.

Please check and update Central Management soon, because it should make things easier and not more difficult.

Thanks.

Peter

  • another joke:

    - no fulltext search in zones/networks/services searchbox

    - you cannot rename a rule after it has been created

    - you cannot edit/move the position of a rule after it has been created

    - you cannot create a rule group

(left local SFOS - right Central Mangement)

    - you cannot add a DHCP Relay Configuration because you cannot select any Interface, which of course isnt neither possible to create:

    seriously??

come on @sophos this does not make any fun and makes central management useless.
