Windows 10 GVM Scanning Service missing

I have 2 windows 10 VMs that previously had the Sophos Endpoint client installed. I have uninstall all these components and then installed the SVE agent, the agent installs along with the GVM scanning service but then the scanning service disappears again a minute later. I have tried uninstalling and repairing and it makes no difference and so this VM does not appear in the log or on Sophos Central as a managed workstation.

Is there something left behind from the full Sophos client that it doesn't like??

In the event log there is a 11708 Event ID saying 'Sophos GVM Scanning Service - - Installation Failed'

Any advice appreciated.

The best thing to do is raise a support call - https://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/contact-support.aspx

There shouldn't be an issue when removing full agent to swap with the Sophos for Virtual Environments thin agent.
