Sophos Message Router keeps breaking, due to registry setting reverting

Hello.

I'm having a problem with Sophos Message router.  The SEC server will periodically stop reading all events from endpoints, and stop getting definition updates from Sophos.  I found a solution with this thread - https://community.sophos.com/products/endpoint-security-control/f/sophos-enterprise-console/95508/update-manager-stuck-at-downloading-binaries - by adding the IP address of the server to a registry entry, and restarting the Sophos Message Router.

The problem is it keeps happening.  I just fixed this registry entry for the third time.  My questions are:

1 - What keeps causing this registry setting to be reverted?
2 - Why does it cause the Message Router to stop receiving messages?
3 - What can I do to fix the problem permanently?

Clarification:

The fix is to change the key [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Sophos Message Router]

Working value:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Sophos\Enterprise Console\Remote Management System\RouterNT.exe" -service -name Router -ORBListenEndpoints iiop://10.0.0.5:8193/ssl_port=8194

Broken value (it keeps reverting to this):
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Sophos\Enterprise Console\Remote Management System\RouterNT.exe" -service -name Router -ORBListenEndpoints iiop://:8193/ssl_port=8194
