License use

Hello
We have an AD infrastructure where we use the Sophos Enterprise Console to manage and update all servers and workstations.
Now we have a task that computers in one specific OU to be managed and updated by a separate SEC, which will not be connected in any way with the existing SEC server. For this we want to deploy a separate SEC server.
Question: can the current license be used for the new SEC, i.e. can one license be used on two SEC servers at the same time.

  • Hello TCO DCA,

the SESC license does not limit the number of management servers  (aka SEC Server) that you can install. You can have several independent servers that use the same license credentials. The only applicable limit is the sum of the number of endpoints managed by the servers - and this limit isn't really enforced.
