Server Upgrade / Migration

Hi,

I'm hoping that someone can help me on this one. I'm currently trying to migrate a Enterprise Console installation to a new server. Source (Server 2008 SBS, EC 5.5.0), new server is 2012 R2. I've been following the migration guide, however I've come across a snag.

The only version of EC that I'm able to download is 5.5.2, which I'm unable to restore the 5.5.0 database into. Can someone from Sophos please provide me with a link for the 5.5.0 download so that I'm able to install this onto the new server to get the migration completed, then I'll upgrade it to 5.5.2 once migrated onto the new server.

you have already performed what steps? This sounds like you have already installed 5.5.2 and attempted the restore.

You don't need 5.5.0, you can restore the 550 database(s) in the SQL instance on the new server using RestoreDB.bat. I've mentioned the basic steps here..

hi Christian,

I'm following the migration guide that was available on Sophos's website (Sophos Enterprise Console server to server migration guide). I'm through to step 8 on it, where I'm trying to restore the database and certificate registry keys onto the new server.

That's the error message that I'm getting at the moment, I've checked the SQL Server and the Database SOPHOS550 doesn't exist.

Will have a look at the REstoreDB.bat
