Controlled Items Blocking a Silverlight Application

Just made the switch from Enterprise Console to Central, and we are facing an issue where Sophos is blocking an endpoint from accessing a hosted Silverlight application. The affected endpoint shows the blocks happening in "Controlled Items" I don't see any log of these reported back to central.

So I have two questions:

  1. Where are these Items managed so an exclusion can be set?
  2. Do these get reported back to Central somewhere, and if so where?

  • Is it a web address I can't tell but based on the message I can see I believe it must be web control.

If so, I assume it's picked up by the Web Control policy option: Additional security options - Risky File Types - Windows Library File (dll)

I assume you want to keep this enabled but just allow these for this site?

    Globally you can configure under:

    https://cloud.sophos.com/manage/endpoint/config/settings/scanning-exclusions

The Website type from the drop down.  If you put in the IP for this site, then the local endpoint proxy will not proxy any connections to that address.

You could also try adding the domain in here as well.  Does that help?
